Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team in Southern Perth. The successful candidate will operate on a flexible rotating shift roster and be responsible for providing roadside assistance, diagnosing and repairing vehicle breakdowns, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to roadside assistance events, provide on-the-spot mechanical repairs, and assist RAC members
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot various vehicle breakdowns and mechanical issues efficiently and accurately
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments, including battery replacements, tyre changes, and jump-starts
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring member safety and satisfaction during stressful situations
  • Maintain comprehensive records of services provided, adhering to RAC procedures and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Experience as an Automotive Mechanic, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle makes and models
  • Relevant trade qualification in automotive mechanics or a similar field
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with members and colleagues
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
