The Role

Clinical Governance Specialist

This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe care across clinical services.

  • Partner with stakeholders to strengthen governance and quality across clinical operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice to deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective clinical policies that meet national safety and accreditation standards.
  • Support risk management by identifying, assessing, and responding to key risks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, templates, and reporting tools.
  • Analyse data to create meaningful reports supporting informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to audits, compliance activities, and maintaining accreditation readiness.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, quality, or governance, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proven experience in delivering quality improvement outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in health, quality, governance, or a similar field.
  • AHPRA registration.
  • Postgraduate certification or experience in clinical governance or quality improvement (desirable).
  • Proven success in delivering quality improvement outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
