Child Safety Specialist

About the Opportunity
Uniting is seeking a dedicated Child Safety Specialist to join our team in South Western Sydney. In this pivotal role, you will provide trauma-informed, evidence-based casework to support families facing significant challenges.
You will work closely with families to develop and implement effective case plans that ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people. Your strong skills in risk assessment, case management, and building trust with families in crisis will be essential in achieving successful outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, with at least two years of experience working with at-risk children and families.
- Strong skills in risk assessment, case management, and building trust with families in crisis.
- Proven ability to engage families and help them achieve goals that prioritise child safety.
- Cultural competence when working with Aboriginal families and those from diverse backgrounds.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NSW Driver's license.
