EACH Victoria is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team as an Early Years Specialist. In this role, you will work with families and children to develop strategies for early childhood intervention and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver supports to families in partnership to help them achieve their goals using evidence-informed best practice.
- Use assessments, observations, and understanding of child development to tailor support options that fit each child and family.
- Empower families, caregivers, and professionals to build skills and confidence to support children in their everyday lives.
- Connect children and families with their community to ensure they are included and can participate in the settings and activities they choose.
- Keep thorough records of conversations, developmental progress, and goals in the NDIA business system.
- Guide families through the application, implementation, and funding processes of NDIS plans.
Requirements:
- A degree qualification in Speech Pathology.
- Expert knowledge in child development and the ability to identify developmental issues.
- Proven track record supporting families and children with developmental delays/disabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS Early Childhood Approach and early childhood intervention best practice principles.
