We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to fill the role of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with allied health practitioners, support workers, and family members to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
- Conduct assessments and observations of participants' challenging behaviours, developing plans to increase skills, improve emotion regulation, and introduce replacement behaviours.
- Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support plans and assessments, focusing on increasing quality of life and enhancing independence.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality clinical services and achieve client goals.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
Requirements:
- Qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA), Teaching, Social Work, Social Sciences, Criminology, Childhood Education & Care, Health Science, or Nursing.
- NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner or ability to become registered.
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses (desirable).
- A car and driver's licence.
- A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to obtain before commencement.
