Safety Manager for Regional Operations

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to lead our regional safety operations. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement comprehensive safety strategies across multiple sites.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing site-related safety components, reviewing and proposing improvements to existing processes, maintaining a current understanding of relevant regulations and industry standards, and actively supporting safety monitoring and management programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular audits and ensuring quality of corrective actions;
  • Liaising with government agencies and industry bodies on SHE issues or site regulatory requirements;
  • Leading incident investigations and ensuring all other investigations meet established standards;
  • Developing and implementing initiatives to improve safety culture through strategic direction and employee engagement;
  • Owning and overseeing SHE documentation, control and storage;
  • Partnering with the central Risk team to deliver Safety, Health and Environment strategic plans and proactive improvement programs;
  • Analyzing safety data to identify improvement objectives and targets;
  • Preparing detailed reports and compiling data for internal and external safety reporting.

Requirements include:

  • Experience in a similar position with degree qualifications in health, safety and environment and/or applied science;
  • Clear communication skills and ability to build rapport at all levels;
  • A pragmatic approach and willingness to be hands-on where needed;
  • Ability to develop and deliver training that engages stakeholders;
  • Qualifications in Cert IV training and assessment, Lead Auditor, ICAM investigation and RTW Coordinator;
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites located in different regions.
