School Technical Officer Position

About the Role

This is a progressive position that requires technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

We are seeking an experienced ICT professional to oversee the school's ICT infrastructure, providing technical advice and support for staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and oversee the school's ICT infrastructure, including acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of systems.
  • Provide technical advice and support for staff and students using ICT equipment, aligned with departmental and manufacturer standards.
  • Deliver in-service training to staff on effective use of ICT tools to enhance student learning.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly, maintaining a customer-focused approach.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and routine repairs to ICT facilities.
  • Keep accurate records of technical services, inventory, and maintenance activities.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in supporting and maintaining ICT systems, including hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain technical issues clearly.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service for both students and staff.
  • Ability to deliver training or coaching to staff in the use of ICT tools.
  • Knowledge of server hardware configuration and networking systems.
