About Us

At Emeco, we operate a large rental fleet of over 900 machines, supported by a network of maintenance and component rebuild workshops. Our Asset Management team and fleet optimisation technology enable us to provide efficient services.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Capital Accountant to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing asset accounting advice and information, including the coordination and delivery of capitalisation and asset accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a broad range of asset accounting and reporting services, including asset capitalisation, depreciation, disposal, useful life assessments, write-offs, and revaluation.
  • Deliver asset accounting to support the production of departmental and organisational budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, profit and loss, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure weekly and monthly capital finalisation and reporting, journal postings, and capital reviews with management.
About You
  • You will have previous experience in a capital accountant or fixed asset accountant role (2-3 years preferred).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Australian Accounting Standards, asset principles, and asset recording systems.
  • Proven track record of achieving objectives and supporting management in continuous improvement of services.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing skills and experience in cultivating and sustaining strong business relationships with key stakeholders.
