Do you have what it takes to be our next Accounts Assistant? Here's what we're looking for:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or a combination of relevant training and experience.
- At least 6 months of experience as an Accounts Assistant or a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
- Experience using Xero (Xero Certified) and MYOB.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Knowledge of GST and BAS processing.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- **Tasks & Responsibilities**_

As our Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of our organization:

- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Document financial transactions by entering account information accurately.
- Summarize the current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents meticulously.
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending Policies and Procedures.
- Process end-to-end payroll, including salary packaging, leave management, and superannuation, while providing excellent support to our staff.
- Handle Accounts Payable, process accounts payable in Xero, and maintain organized archiving accounts.
- Manage Accounts Receivables, raise, and process invoices as needed, and ensure bank reconciliation is always up to date.
- Prepare BAS and superannuation statements, credit card reconciliation, and employee expense reimbursements.
- Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
