Job Description:

As a Senior Information Security Officer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Defence systems, information, and assets, ensuring the seamless delivery of secure, reliable, and compliant Defence capabilities.

This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to national security outcomes and collaborate with a diverse team of experts on high-impact Defence projects.

The successful candidate will possess expertise in implementing and managing Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and conducting comprehensive security risk assessments.

Additionally, they will have strong knowledge of Defence security policies, standards, and frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST, ACSC Essential 8, and DEF(AUST) 3000.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of ISMS to ensure Defence compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management to protect Defence systems and data.
  • Develop and enforce information security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity frameworks.
