About the Role:

The Senior Crisis Management Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining training programs for the Emergency Response team, safety management systems, and pre-hospital care to employees while promoting health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training packages to site personnel
  • Maintain medical clinic and emergency equipment
  • Implement, train, and support the ERT (Emergency Response Team)
  • Develop a specific skill set to facilitate ERT development
  • Deliver site-specific training as required
  • Support senior advisors in emergency response training
  • Support site access control with Fit for Work testing
  • Provide leave coverage for site access control
  • Provide first response capability for injury management
  • Contribute to health and safety management system development and improvement
  • Assist with ERT annual budgeting and cost management
  • Review and audit emergency response facilities and processes
  • Develop and implement ERT training schedules
  • Facilitate emergency response exercises
  • Maintain ERT equipment and facilities
Requirements:
  • Certificate III Mine Emergency Response (Underground)
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Response and/or Occupational First Aid
  • HLTPAT005 - Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in public safety and emergency response (mining, construction, or engineering environment)
  • Competent in Microsoft software and database use
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplined HSE function
  • Sound knowledge of NSW workers compensation, workplace rehabilitation, and mining H&S legislation
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
