About The Position

As a Multidisciplinary Crisis Counsellor with the Benevolent Society, you will play a vital role in supporting women affected by trauma, domestic violence, and mental health issues.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced counsellor to join our Campbelltown Centre for Women's Children & Family Health. In this role, you will provide face-to-face and telephone counselling services to individuals presenting with complex issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake initial assessments and provide high-quality counselling, psychotherapy, case management, and therapeutic group work.
  • Engage clients using strengths-based assessments and risk minimisation processes, including safety planning.
  • Provide multimodal interventions from a person-centred approach that enhance resilience and well-being.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or a similar field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in crisis counselling, preferably working with women affected by trauma and domestic violence.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to balance competing demands.
  • The ability to provide outstanding service in a positive, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a salary of $86,000 - $92,000 per annum, plus superannuation and salary packaging options. You will also enjoy flexible work arrangements, including hybrid home/office options, and accrue additional leave as a full-time employee.
