Clyde & Co is a leading international law firm, renowned for its dedicated cyber incident response practice in Australia. The team advises small to large organisations across the Asia-Pacific region and globally on matters of privacy compliance, cyber incidents readiness, and resilience exercises.
The team is led by John Moran, an internationally recognised expert in cybersecurity and incident response. He prioritises team culture and personal development, fostering a collaborative environment that drives success.
We are seeking ambitious lawyers with 2 or more years of post-qualification experience to join our market-leading cyber incident response team in Sydney. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to manage the lifecycle of cyber incidents, related investigations, and litigation. A key component of this role involves providing crisis and reputational management services to clients following a cyber incident or data breach, alongside delivering exceptional customer service in a timely manner.
This position would be ideal for lawyers with experience in cyber or privacy law, regulatory investigations, dispute resolution, and insurance. You will have the autonomy to manage your case load, liaise directly with clients, and develop strong relationships with them.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to clients experiencing a cyber incident or data breach, ensuring prompt and efficient communication through phone and email.
- Manage the customer-facing breach response and crisis management from start to finish, including taking instructions and maintaining client files.
- Coordinate the initial response to the cyber incident, involving the client, internal team, and third-party vendors, in accordance with the organisation's incident response plan (if required).
- Liaise directly with clients in relation to incidents, working within a supportive environment to manage your own case load.
- Assist with potential regulatory obligations, investigations, and notification requirements.
- Complete incident reports detailing the status of the incident, remediation activities, and post-incident reviews.
- Ensure the incident is fully communicated, recorded, and tracked in accordance with our existing frameworks.
- Be responsible for delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Contribute to the development of our pre-incident practice, helping organisations become more cyber resilient.
