About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Group Business Director to join our team in Melbourne, working with a portfolio of established and engaged clients.

As the primary point of contact for your clients, you will understand their business objectives and translate them into effective and award-worthy work. You will serve as the key stakeholder relationship manager, driving growth, fostering collaboration, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Your role will be pivotal in fostering long-term partnerships, growth, and maximizing stakeholder satisfaction. You will lead a tight-knit team, guiding and influencing senior stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure both the agency and client needs are met.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years' experience in Account Management, preferably within an advertising communications agency environment. They possess excellent stakeholder management techniques, are confident and influential, and genuinely love effective creative work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationships Management: Partner, build, and maintain strong trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic Planning / Creative Direction: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business and strategic goals, contribute to, support, and evaluate creative work that aligns with these goals.
  • Campaign Management: Brief, collaborate, and oversee the implementation and delivery of integrated campaigns across the client portfolio.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to develop integrated solutions that exceed client expectations, while partnering with the executive team on new business prospects/opportunities.
  • Financial Management: Oversee, maintain, and ensure portfolio profitability, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and implementing effective processes.
  • Leadership: Guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years' experience in Account Management, preferably within an advertising communications agency environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management techniques.
  • Confident and influential.
  • Genuinely love effective creative work.
  • Superb organizational techniques, enjoying working in a tight-knit, highly engaged team.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, negotiable for the right candidate. This is a full-time/part-time negotiable opportunity.
