About the Role

This expanding group has a robust portfolio of projects, and as a key member, you'll spearhead environmental impact assessments, navigating both Victorian and Commonwealth approvals processes. You'll engage in a variety of National, State, and local infrastructure and development projects, with a special emphasis on renewable energy, maritime transport, water resources, and mine rehabilitation.

You'll contribute to the execution and delivery of our environmental business strategy, playing a pivotal role in the ongoing growth and development of Arup's environmental practice in Victoria and throughout the Australasian region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership in Environmental Impact Assessments: Drive and lead comprehensive environmental impact assessments, ensuring compliance with Victorian and Commonwealth approvals processes, including Environment Effects Statements (EES) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS).
  • Project Management Across Diverse Sectors: Manage and oversee National, State, and local infrastructure and development projects, with a particular focus on renewable energy, nearshore and offshore maritime transport, water resources, and mine rehabilitation.
  • Strategic Execution and Delivery: Contribute to the successful execution and delivery of our environmental business strategy, fostering the continued growth and development of Arup's environmental practice within Victoria and the broader Australasian region.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and sustainability, leveraging expertise across various sectors to deliver innovative and effective environmental solutions.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals and objectives.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Champion the integration of cutting-edge technologies and best practices in environmental assessments, continuously improving processes and outcomes.

  • Extensive Industry Expertise: Bring your wealth of experience in environmental approvals within the dynamic consulting sector to make a real impact.
  • Proven Track Record: With over 15 years of hands-on experience in delivering comprehensive environmental assessments and approvals for high-profile projects, especially those related to offshore wind impact assessments, your expertise is invaluable.
  • Professional Excellence: Demonstrate your commitment to the field through active membership in respected professional institutions and peer bodies.
  • Leadership in Environmental Projects: Showcase your exceptional ability to lead project teams through complex environmental assessments, planning, and approval processes.
