Senior Defence Design Manager Position

This is a senior-level role that involves overseeing the overall design intent and direction of defence projects from planning to delivery.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing multidisciplinary teams with a focus on defence estate management. They will possess a current Australian Government Security Clearance at Baseline level or higher, which requires Australian citizenship. A tertiary qualification in engineering, architecture, or a related field is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead defence design teams to deliver high-quality results within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of defence design requirements, approaches, and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure design intent and direction are upheld throughout project phases.
Requirements
  • Australian citizenship and ability to obtain required security clearance.
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in managing multidisciplinary teams with a focus on defence estate management.
