The Salvation Army is one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities, helping thousands of Australians every year find hope in the midst of personal hardship.

We are seeking a compassionate individual to join our team as an Employer Liaison. This role will have a special focus on finding employment opportunities for refugees with minimal levels of English-speaking ability, who possess valuable skills and professional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the program to employers and the community
  • Source employment opportunities
  • Liaise with Job Coaches to convey opportunities
  • Conduct post placement support to both participants and employers
  • Record all actions undertaken and maintain records in system

Other activities may include:

  • Assisting volunteer employment coaches on a day-to-day basis with the running of the employment program
  • Preparing reports as requested to monitor engagement

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience or qualifications in Business Management, Community Services, HR or equivalent is highly desired but not essential
  • Familiarity with the refugee community is highly desirable (but not essential)
  • Experience Human Resources, Business Development or Sales is highly desired
  • Experience in customer service and/or administration is desired, with strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Confidence in using, or willingness to learn, online HR systems (desired but not essential as training will be provided)
