We are seeking a skilled Analyst to join our Operational Forecasting team, where you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality data and systems to support control rooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously improve forecast models for electricity demand, distributed photovoltaics, and variable renewable energy generation central to our market systems.
- Collaborate with weather providers and control rooms to translate weather risks into system impacts.
- Coordinate across teams and markets to align tools, data, and forecasting processes between different regions.
- Contribute energy and weather information and insights into operational advisories, power system incident reviews, and market reports.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering, mathematics, meteorology, or a related statistical discipline.
- Experience in the energy sector or similar industry, preferably in an operations, forecasting, or analytical role.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of data analysis and statistical modelling techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
