Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Brisbane.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing detailed structural design and analysis, preparing design documents, and collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to ensure the structural integrity and safety of designs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • - Develop structural designs and perform detailed calculations to standards and specifications
  • - Conduct structural analysis using software and hand calculations to ensure designs meet safety and performance requirements
  • - Analyse the impact of loads, stresses and other factors on structures
  • - Coordinate with project managers, architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success
  • - Provide technical advice to construction teams during the construction phase
  • - Conduct site visits as required to ensure construction is in accordance with design specifications and standards
  • - Ensure all designs comply with local, state and federal regulations

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering

- Minimum of 6 years experience in structural engineering primarily with building structures

- Strong knowledge and application of Australian and International Standards

- Experience with design software such as Spacegass

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
