The Department of Health is seeking qualified Clinical Nurse Specialists to provide clinical services to young people and their families/significant others experiencing mental health concerns. The role involves working within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their families.
">This position includes complex case management, assessment, counselling and/or therapy, and working within mental health or related sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical services through complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.
">The ideal candidate will have experience in child, adolescent and/or youth mental health or related field, and will possess specialist mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification (or equivalent pathway prior to hospital education transfer). A postgraduate degree in a relevant field would be an advantage.

">The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work within a dynamic and well-supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to young people and their families/carers. The role involves complex case management, assessment, counselling and/or therapy, and working within mental health or related sectors.
">Key responsibilities
">- Be part of a dynamic and well-supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to young people and their families/carers.
- Provide clinical services through complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.
- Collaborate with team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new youth mental health services in Tasmania.
- Lead and work with a diverse multidisciplinary team, providing support and consultation to other team members as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
">- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Specialist mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification (or equivalent pathway prior to hospital education transfer)
- Current registration with a relevant professional board
- Working with Children Registration
