About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Professional to join our Child and Youth Mental Health Service as a key member of our multidisciplinary team. As a mental health specialist, you will work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality services.

  • You will undertake assessments and treatment services for clients across various mental health services.
  • Promote awareness of mental health issues and develop relationships with other service providers.
  • Act as a consultant to other agencies on the support and management of clients with mental health needs.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years post-graduate employment in a clinical area relevant to child and adolescent, adult community, inpatient, and extended treatment mental health services.
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and understanding of mental health principles, with the ability to assess mental health problems.
  • Expertise in therapeutic interventions, with the capacity to acquire further expertise in the future.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Satisfactory completion of an approved mental health professional tertiary qualification or program of study.
  • Registration with the relevant National Board or full membership/eligibility for membership with the relevant professional association.
  • Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable) and a current Driver's Licence.
