About the Role
Mater Misericordiae Ltd is seeking a skilled Floor Coordinator to join our Perioperative Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and effective service is provided to patients and Visiting Medical Officers.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate staff allocations and skill mix to meet patient needs and optimize workload.
- Maximize efficiency in clinical activity and ensure timely staff meal breaks and reliefs.
- Act as a clinical expert, providing specialist knowledge, skills, and expertise to support staff.
- Liaise with wards, other departments, and personnel to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Work collaboratively with team leaders to organize theatre activity and provide support in clinical areas.
- Maintain and improve clinical standards through audit and implementation of best practices.
- Identify and communicate quality improvement ideas to enhance patient care.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner's Regulation Agency with a current licence to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in a clinical area or specialty applicable to the unit.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Perioperative Nursing.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information constructively.
