About the Role
Mater Misericordiae Ltd is seeking a skilled Floor Coordinator to join our Perioperative Services team. As a key member of our senior staff team, you will play a vital role in meeting departmental objectives and driving the development of our theatre service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe, efficient, and effective service is provided to patients and Visiting Medical Officers within Perioperative Services.
- Provide clinical expertise, direct support, and coaching to staff within the department, with a focus on the patient experience and quality of services.
- Coordinate all clinical activity to maximize efficiency and ensure staff meal breaks and reliefs are arranged in a timely manner.
- Liaise and cooperate with wards, other departments, and personnel in the hospital.
- Work collaboratively with other team leaders in the theatre department to provide support in all clinical areas as necessary.
- Maintain and raise the clinical standard of care through audit and implementation of best practice.
- Identify and communicate quality improvement ideas to senior staff to enhance patient care.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner's Regulation Agency with a current licence to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in a clinical area or specialty applicable to the unit.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Perioperative Nursing.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex and challenging information constructively.
