We are seeking a highly skilled Clearance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of international shipments through customs and regulatory processes.
As a Clearance Specialist, you will handle end-to-end customs clearance for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. This includes reviewing customs documentation, classifying goods according to customs regulations, and determining duty rates and tax liabilities.
You will also resolve customs-related issues and provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving clearance issues proactively. Collaborating closely with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and internal teams is essential for efficient and timely clearance.
Key Requirements:
- Secondary education or equivalent
- At least three years of work experience in Customs
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, procedures, and trade compliance
- Proficient in customs clearance software and online customs portal
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & PC
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Proven expertise in planning & organizing, with a strong accuracy & attention to detail
