The Clearance Broker is a pivotal role that ensures seamless and compliant movement of international shipments through customs and regulatory processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Customs Clearance: Handle customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
  • Documentation Review: Review customs documentation, classify goods according to customs regulations, and determine duty rates and tax liabilities.
  • Customs Issue Resolution: Resolve customs-related issues and provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and proactively resolving any clearance issues.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and internal teams for efficient and timely clearance.
Requirements:
  • Secondary Education: A secondary education or equivalent is required.
  • Work Experience: At least three years of work experience in Customs; Associate level requires no prior experience, while Lead level requires at least five years of work experience in Customs, including two years in the field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of customs regulations, procedures, and trade compliance; proficiency in customs clearance software and online customs portal; working knowledge of Microsoft Office & PC; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; proven expertise in planning & organizing, with a strong accuracy & attention to detail.
