Reliable Safety Compliance Specialist

Labourforce is looking to hire a part-time Safety and Quality Coordinator with the opportunity for full-time hours.
This role is ideal for individuals studying health and safety or quality assurance, or for parents seeking a part-time job that complements family responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a workplace that meets all safety and quality standards. They will support the development of safety policies, manage quality procedures, and conduct audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
The key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the creation and review of Health, Safety, and Quality policies;
- Providing safety guidance on various topics, from noise levels to machinery use;
- Managing Hazard and Chemicals Registers and ensuring accurate documentation;
- Conducting risk assessments and offering advice on preventive measures;
- Organizing and supporting safety training sessions for the team;
- Implementing quality control processes and conducting regular audits;
- Collaborating on corrective action plans and maintaining quality records;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate in Health & Safety and/or Quality Assurance;
- Familiarity with Queensland Health & Safety legislation and basic hazardous materials;
- Strong communication skills and accurate data entry skills;
- Microsoft Office proficiency;
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and auditing (preferred but not essential).
We offer flexible part-time hours with options for a 7am-9am start and 3pm-5pm finish, two to three days per week. This position provides an excellent opportunity for students studying safety or parents seeking flexible work arrangements.
Estimated annual salary: $60,000 - $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
