Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement operations, you will be responsible for the successful implementation and application of tools, systems, and frameworks that support procurement operations and contract management registry to enhance functionality and efficiency.

About the Opportunity: This is an exciting opportunity to join a greenfield procurement function working with a forward-thinking organization. You will lead and facilitate initiatives to improve capability and oversee the delivery of tools to ensure procurement analytics, compliance frameworks, and program management are fully supported.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to enhance sourcing, procurement, and contract management processes
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhancements
  • Maintain and develop tools, systems, and frameworks to support procurement operations and contract management registry
  • Ensure procurement analytics, compliance frameworks, and program management are fully supported
  • Collaborate with core business units, including Finance, Legal, and IT, on process refinements

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong track-record of delivering process improvements and fine-tuning enhancements to support functions of a procurement team
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with logical, data-driven thought processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience building catalogues, setting up contract administration frameworks, and coordinating procure-to-pay systems
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as JD Edwards, and tools like Power BI and Excel
