About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position within our close-knit team based out of our Bendigo branch in Victoria.

Elders Rural is seeking an experienced Livestock Sales Professional to provide clients with expert livestock sales support and insights. Working both in-branch and travelling the countryside, you will assess and prepare livestock for market to obtain maximum value for clients.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain professional relationships and grow a strong portfolio of new and existing clients
  • Identify and cultivate new livestock sales opportunities
  • Develop and grow relationships with key industry partners, including exporters and processors
  • Provide professional onsite livestock advice to clients, recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their business
  • Employ tactful negotiating skills to bring buyers and sellers together
  • Maximise promotional opportunities, including assisting at industry and community events
About You
  • You are passionate about effecting real change for both your clients and your community
  • You have a passion for livestock sales and an active interest in safe livestock handling
  • You are driven by sales and success
  • You have Auctioneering experience or desire, which will be supported
  • You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to build new business
  • You have an ability to provide a high level of customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current clients
  • You have either a Livestock Auctioneer Licence and Assessor Accreditation, or the willingness to become licensed after undertaking training offered, free-of-charge, by Elders Rural
