About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Contract Advisor to join our team at TasWater. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in the development, administration, and management of contracts, ensuring best practices are followed throughout all steps of negotiation, service supply, and contract renewal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the operations teams in managing contracts to meet organisational goals and objectives.
  • Ensure all contracted services comply with WHS legislative requirements and standards.
  • Support contract negotiations, including extensions, variations, terminations, and renewals.
  • Facilitate the engagement of key stakeholders to define and implement the scope of work for new or modified contracts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on resolutions involving legal and regulatory requirements, contract standards, service needs, and cost targets.
What We Offer

This is a permanent full-time position that can be based in Devonport, Launceston, or Hobart. You will have opportunities to work from home, from our operational sites, and have the flexibility in working hours that allow you to use your expertise while also doing the things that matter to you.

This position attracts an hourly rate of $42.77 during probation, then $45.15 once successfully completed.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in overseeing contracts, specifically large and high-value contracts.
  • Ability to facilitate, develop, and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability in time management and work prioritisation within fast-paced work environments.
