Job Overview

The Senior Sustainability Consultant role plays a pivotal part in driving environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to safety, health, and environmental policies and management systems.
  • Maintain awareness of hazards and associated risks, endeavouring to mitigate or eliminate them wherever possible.
  • Effectively undertake SHE accountabilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Implement strategies that position the project as an industry leader in environmental practices.
  • Establish a culture that encourages innovation and receptiveness to environmental initiatives.
  • Uphold organisational values and contribute to team effectiveness through daily personal behaviour.
  • Pursue improvement ideas, building team member buy-in and informed opinions about their merit.
  • Manage day-to-day liaison with clients in respect of environmental management.
  • Liaise with managers and subcontractor organisations as required.
  • Obtain relevant approvals and licences from regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and company policies.

The successful candidate will require a tertiary qualification, at least 5 years construction experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and negotiation skills, knowledge of environmental legislation, and proficiency in current software versions.
