We are seeking a highly skilled Test and Evaluation Engineer to join our DCE Waterfront Support team. As a key member of this team, you will provide engineering support, guidance, and coordination to resolve technical issues identified during production of the DCE Program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely triage, response, and resolution of DCE External Maintenance Period (ExtMP) PIRs and other production-related issue reports.
- Develop integration-related documentation in accordance with appropriate standards.
- Develop and/or prepare accurate technical documentation, including test procedures and reports.
- Assist in the development of tools and rigs necessary for integration of the deliverable system.
- Identify opportunities for improvement of integration practices.
- Support PIR reporting and the performance framework throughout DCE ExtMP production.
- Ensure problem reports are raised for all system problems identified during system integration and isolate such problems to specific system components.
- Set up, test, integrate, and commission equipment and systems.
- Provide oversight and technical subject matter expert knowledge for test and commissioning.
- Provide input to planning and maintenance of schedules.
- Conduct defect analysis, resolution, and provision of detailed technical reports.
- Contribute to the analysis of complex technical problems to create solutions where precedent may not exist.
We are looking for a candidate with a degree-level qualification in an engineering discipline and engineering experience enabling eligibility for admission to the Institution of Engineers, Australia, as a Chartered Professional. You should have significant experience within a production engineering capacity and demonstrated professional integrity, advanced level of technical knowledge, objectivity, acceptance of responsibility, maturity of judgment.
You should also have demonstrated practical and extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes in a commercial and/or defence environment, ability to make independent judgments and decisions relating to your role, and ability to form and facilitate problem-solving teams to achieve engineering systems and processes outcomes.
Additionally, you should have strong communication and relationship-building skills, a strong understanding of MRP fundamentals, and eligibility to obtain and maintain relevant Defence Clearances.
