Job Title: Product Durability Testing Officer

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Durability Testing Officer to join our Coated Products Evaluation team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments and evaluations of our product panels, including those exposed to outdoor and accelerated weathering conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of product panels to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Develop and maintain expertise in the performance and sustainability of our pre-painted products across various applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of testing and evaluation activities
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results and recommendations
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Materials Engineering, Science, or Chemistry, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Proven experience in product testing and evaluation, preferably in the steel industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
