Job Description

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Security and Estate Group as Assistant Directors. The successful candidates will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for planning, developing, and delivering major capital facilities and infrastructure projects across the Defence estate.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and project management for the planning, development, and delivery of major capital facilities and infrastructure projects.
  • Strategic policy advice and estate planning, including legislative compliance and alignment with major Government policies and reforms.
  • Contamination management and remediation, including PFAS and other contaminants.
  • Program delivery, including management of the National Unexploded Ordnance Program, Noise and Flight Path Monitoring System, and Australian Noise Exposure Forecast maps at relevant airfields.
  • Professional engineering activities, including policy development, design reviews, provision of advice, and governance and assurance activities across various disciplines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates will possess a number of key attributes, including experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, excellent time management, prioritization of competing demands, and judgement. They will also have well-developed interpersonal skills to liaise, collaborate, and build productive stakeholder relationships. Superior written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a record of working positively to achieve outcomes and being resilient and able to persevere when challenged.
