About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geologist to contribute to the management and execution of daily underground grade control activities at our Cowal mine site.

As a key member of our underground team, you will be responsible for collecting and validating operational and geological data, performing geological mapping, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize ore extraction and minimize ore loss.

With a strong background in geology and experience in underground mining, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced team and contribute to the ongoing maintenance of underground sample QAQC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform geological mapping of operating development and other development areas
  • Conduct daily stope and ROM inspections
  • Inspect and markup UG Stockpile to improve ore and waste management
  • Assist in managing and monitoring material movements from the underground mine
  • Communicate with mining stakeholders to optimize ore extraction and minimize ore loss
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of underground sample QAQC
  • Perform geological logging of diamond drilling core as required
About You

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of geology and underground mining principles.

You will require a tertiary qualification in geology or geoscience, previous exposure to mine or exploration geology functions, and underground mining experience.

As a team player, you will be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment and contribute to the achievement of department and company goals.
