About the Opportunity

PIMS Group Australia is seeking experienced Underground Coal professionals to join their team at the Whynot Bord and Pillar Operation. As a key player in the success of this operation, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise and contribute to the common goals of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold a First or Second-Class Certificate of Competency or Mutual Recognition;
  • Comply with the Safety Health Management System, Coal Mining Legislation, and all relevant statutory requirements;
  • Possess a strong work ethic with a great attendance record;
  • Comply with site procedures, instructions, and equipment specifications and limitations to ensure effective and safe use of equipment;
  • Define and communicate performance goals and provide regular and objective feedback on performance;
  • Have a strong leadership ability and be able to problem solve complex situations as they arise;
  • Demonstrated Underground Coal experience in a similar role.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years Underground Coal Experience within a production panel;
  • NSW Certificate of Competency;
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures;
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and in challenging underground environments;
  • Excellent problem solving skills and a proactive approach to each day on shift.
