Facilities Coordinator Specialist

About the Role: As a Senior Facilities Coordinator at Challenger, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the day-to-day operations of our facilities run smoothly. Reporting to the National Facilities Manager, you will work closely with various departments and external vendors to maintain the efficient running of the building. Your responsibilities will include ensuring building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, safety equipment) are functioning correctly, coordinating routine maintenance and repairs, and overseeing contracts with external vendors. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring compliance with company and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance: Ensure building systems are running efficiently and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs.
- Vendor Management: Be the point of contact for external vendors and oversee contracts.
- Workplace Safety: Monitor safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Space Management: Support office layout changes and space planning.
- Inventory Management: Oversee office and facility supplies.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Assist with budgeting and expense tracking.
- Event Coordination: Ensure company events run smoothly.
- Emergency Preparedness: Manage first aid and fire training, and maintain emergency protocols.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in facilities management or office coordination.
- Knowledge of building systems and safety regulations.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong multi-tasker with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
