Job Description:

The organisation is a provider of allied health care for people living in regional, rural and remote communities. Their goal is to ensure that every individual has access to comprehensive face-to-face and virtual allied health care.

The role functions in a close working relationship with other team members to actively contribute to the achievement of this practice's strategic goals and objectives, which include increased access to healthcare services and improved health outcomes for First Nations people.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated high-level knowledge and skills in contemporary clinical practice standards in rural and remote speech pathology
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to working sensitively and effectively with First Nations communities and their leaders, respecting traditional culture, values and ways of doing business with an understanding of the health, social and emotional wellbeing issues that impact on First Nations people in rural and remote communities
  • Demonstrated experience or willingness to participate in delivering care through innovative service models, particularly virtual health and a supervision and delegation model
  • Demonstrated ability to determine priorities and manage caseload to meet agreed timelines and objectives, establish trust and rapport with clients and key stakeholders with particular emphasis on interpersonal communication skills, maintaining confidentiality and effective clinical documentation and reporting
