Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to work in a hybrid model, providing face-to-face and virtual care to clients in regional, rural and remote communities.

  • The ideal candidate will have a tertiary degree qualification in Speech Pathology and be certified as a Practicing Speech Pathologist with 3 years or more experience.
  • They will also possess membership of Speech Pathology Australia and hold a current Blue Card or be willing to apply for one.

This role functions in a close working relationship with other team members to actively contribute to the achievement of the practice's strategic goals and objectives, including increased access to comprehensive face-to-face and virtual allied health care and improved health outcomes for First Nations people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate high-level knowledge and skills in contemporary clinical practice standards in rural and remote speech pathology.
  • Work sensitively and effectively with First Nations communities and their leaders, respecting traditional culture, values and ways of doing business.
  • Participate in the delivery of care through innovative service models, such as virtual health and supervision and delegation models.
  • Determine priorities and manage caseload to meet agreed timelines and objectives, establish trust and rapport with clients and key stakeholders.
