Job Title: Female Sexual Assault Service Manager

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality services to people impacted by sexual assault.

About the Opportunity

The Service Manager will lead a team of multidisciplinary staff, including doctors, nurses, and counselling staff to deliver collaborative, high-quality service to people impacted by violence, abuse, and neglect, all within consumer-centred and integrated trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic, operational, and clinical governance of Sexual Assault Services (SAS) across SWSLHD;
  • Leadership and strategic direction that maximises health improvement to people affected by sexual assault with an Integrated Trauma Informed framework (ITIC);
  • Development, implementation, and oversight of professional standards, safety, and quality systems;
  • Establishing and maintaining networks and collaboration with relevant agencies, government, and non-government services.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a Bachelor Degree in a Health-related field with an emphasis on human behaviour, psychosocial development, and counselling; or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer;
  • Advanced operational, strategic, financial, and clinical knowledge, with extensive postgraduate experience providing, managing, and leading crisis intervention, medical, and counselling services to children, young people, and adults impacted by sexual assault;
  • Extensive management and leadership experience leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary approach to service delivery, including crisis services, counselling, case management, supervising staff, proven ability to manage conflict and individual/team performance, and department decision-making;
  • Demonstrated leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating service delivery incorporating quality improvement, policy/procedure development, in a timely and cost-effective manner;
  • Demonstrated commitment to Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) and experience implementing EBP into service planning and evaluation of service changes.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Service Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Staying Safe in Community, Director of Operations, under Primary and Community Health (P&CH) to enhance services, standards, and quality across the district with a 24/7 response. You will establish and maintain networks and collaboration with relevant agencies, government, and non-government services.
