**Clinical Leadership Opportunity in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Response Team**

  • This role is an exciting opportunity for a clinical lead to provide expert operational leadership and supervision of the Safeguards Child and Adolescent Mental Health Response Team.

The team operates 7 days/week with extended hours on weekdays, responding to young people in their schools, homes and communities and in hospital-based settings through face-to-face and phone appointments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Liaise and provide consultation to staff and managers of other mental and general health teams and relevant external agencies.
  • Ensure team members comply with professional obligations in relation to policies and procedures, risk management, and notifications in accordance with legal requirements.

The Clinical Lead will maintain a clinical load or may be required to provide specialist consultancy in their area of expertise.

**Essential Criteria:**

  • Tertiary qualification in a clinical health field such as Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy with a minimum experience at Level 4.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Nursing: Registered Nurse with at least 5 years post registration experience, with at least 3 years experience in the specialty field.
  • OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY: Bachelor's degree and general registration with AHPRA, with extensive specialist knowledge or broad generalist knowledge.
  • Social Work: Bachelor's degree and eligibility for membership of AASW, with extensive specialist knowledge or high level of broad generalist knowledge - Senior Psychologist: 4-year degree in psychology, full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and 9 years' experience.
  • Clinical Psychology: Master's degree or higher in clinical psychology, full registration as a psychologist and endorsement to practice as a clinical psychologist with AHPRA.

**Selection Criteria:**

  • Tertiary qualifications, professional registration/membership: Extensive experience as a clinician in child and youth mental health, providing assessment and evidence-based interventions.
