System Administrator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled system administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our computer systems and networks.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation of our infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will work closely with our internal teams to ensure that our environments are secure, stable, and aligned with company standards.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure security, stability, and alignment with company standards
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with both cloud and on-premises infrastructure
  • 5+ years in a similar infrastructure or systems administration role
  • Familiarity with server and storage hardware, including configuration and support in virtualized or cloud environments
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts and experience with switches, firewalls, and basic routing
  • Solid understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Proficient in Windows Server administration (2016 and later)
  • Exposure to Linux administration in a production environment
  • Experience with Active Directory and group policy configuration
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • Experience supporting virtualized environments (e.g. Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in scripting for automation and infrastructure tasks (e.g. PowerShell, Bash)
