Incident Management Specialist

The Incident Management Specialist is an exciting opportunity to join our client in the superannuation industry. As a key member of the team, you will oversee the incident and issue management processes, ensuring timely identification, recording, and resolution of incidents.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day management of incident response activities, coordinating across business units to investigate, analyse, and remediate incidents.
  • Manage and track progress of incident resolution, ensuring timely closure and escalation of risks or delays to senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and help drive down incident volume.
  • Support and maintain the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system, ensuring data accuracy and performing quality assurance checks.
  • Conduct trend analysis and prepare regular reporting for senior stakeholders on incident patterns and performance against targets.
  • Coordinate and engage a large stakeholder group involved in incident management workflows.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, with a solid understanding of risk, compliance, and incident management in superannuation or the broader financial services sector.
  • Experience in coordinating cross-functional activities or projects, including stakeholder engagement and reporting.
  • Strong familiarity with GRC systems and incident management frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of interpreting complex data and identifying trends.
  • High attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.
  • Previous experience in incident remediation or issue management roles within superannuation.
  • Familiarity with automated workflows, reporting, and dashboards in GRC systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
