Operate Locomotives Safely

- Fulfill train operations requirements in a timely, safe, efficient and punctual manner
- Participate in training, briefing sessions and toolbox talks associated with safe and efficient train operations
- Demonstrate and disseminate a positive safety culture throughout all levels of the business and operations
- Comply with and promote the QLRS Safety Management System
- Mentor and encourage training for trainee train drivers
- Ensure that the relevant persons are notified of all category A and B rail safety incidents in accordance with QLRS SMS
- Promote QLRS in all forums to raise the organisation's profile within industry
To succeed in this role, applicants must hold a Certificate IV in Train Driving, have knowledge of safe working requirements, excellent communication skills, and be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment.

Requirements
A Certificate IV in Train Driving qualification is required. Additionally, the ability to operate safely under pressure and communicate effectively is essential.
