About The Role
Position: Qualified Train Driver
Location: West Melbourne, VIC
Status: Casual

The primary objective of the Train Driver position is to operate locomotives safely and efficiently, adhering to QLRS, regulator, and track owner rules and procedures.

Duties include:

  • Fulfill train operations requirements in a timely, safe, and punctual manner
  • Participate in training, briefings, and toolbox talks related to safe train operations
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the business
  • Comply with and promote the QLRS Safety Management System
  • Mentor trainee train drivers and promote safety and fuel conservation strategies
  • Conduct shunting and train inspections as per procedures
  • Raise the organisation's profile within the industry
  • Encourage a 'just culture' within the organisation
About You
  • TLI42615 Certificate IV in Train Driving or equivalent qualification
  • Clear communication skills, both written and oral
  • Knowledge of safe working requirements on all routes and terminals
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively in a demanding environment
  • Good level of fitness and health
