Job Opportunity

As a Field Operations Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing various projects and activities within the Field Operations team. This position requires autonomy and capability to manage workloads, ensuring the safe delivery of field operations for the Australian Antarctic Program.

The Field Operations environment is dynamic, requiring a flexible approach to daily functions. Your key responsibilities will include inventory management, procurement of field equipment and clothing, stocktake activities, and electronic consignment of cargo.

This position contributes to the success of the program by participating in inventory management, procurement of field equipment and clothing, stocktake activities, and electronic consignment of cargo. You will also be responsible for delivering safe field operations, working closely with the Antarctic Operations and Safety Branch.

About the Role

  • Manage multiple projects and activities within the Field Operations team.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies.
  • Procure field equipment and clothing, ensuring quality and reliability.
  • Deliver safe field operations, adhering to strict protocols and procedures.
