Job Title: Field Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Operations Manager to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless field operations and exceptional guest experiences.

This multifaceted position involves managing safe systems and procedures, maintaining high standards of food service, training and supporting guides, and overseeing lodge maintenance and assets. Your responsibilities will include providing team support, recruiting staff, and undertaking operational trips during the season, as well as provisioning, guide recruitment, and training during the off-season.

You will be an integral part of our Southern Ops team and will work closely with colleagues to deliver outstanding results. Key skills required for this role include:

  • Strong management and operational experience
  • Excellent hospitality background and passion for delivering delicious food
  • Proven problem-solving and organisational abilities
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire large teams
  • Knowledge of risk management
  • Good bush walking experience and familiarity with National Parks

In addition to these key skills, you will also need to hold or be able to obtain the following qualifications:

  • Provide First Aid certificate (or equivalent First Aid Level II)
  • Wilderness First Aid
  • Food Handling Level II (SITXFSA002)
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • High Risk Licence - Dogging (desirable)
