About the Opportunity

The position of Senior Manager plays a vital part in delivering assurance reviews across large-scale transformation programs, focusing on simplifying processes, systems, and technology for better customer experiences and staff ease.

This role is based in Sydney with flexible hybrid working arrangements available.

Job Description

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing oversight, insight, and challenge for effective governance and risk management. You will lead assurance reviews across Westpac's largest transformation program – UNITE, partner with senior stakeholders to drive effective governance and risk oversight, and deliver data-driven insights and reporting to risk committees and executive forums.

This involves developing and implementing strategies to improve governance and risk management practices, identifying areas for improvement, and developing recommendations for enhancement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead assurance reviews across Westpac's largest transformation program – UNITE
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to drive effective governance and risk oversight
  • Deliver data-driven insights and reporting to risk committees and executive forums
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in project assurance, internal audit, and/or project risk in change
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile) and related tools
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across complex programs
  • Experience producing and presenting insightful reporting to risk committees and governance forums
  • Skills in data-driven analysis using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Copilot
  • A proactive, outcomes-driven mindset with strong customer focus and relationship-building skills
