**Key Responsibilities:**

* Partner with the Head of Commercial to build category strategies that align with BIG W's business objectives
* Curate ranges, refine pricing, and promotion channel plans to ensure alignment with category strategies
* Partner with suppliers to build relationships and optimize supplier portfolios to increase sales, profit, and customer advocacy
* Ensure all products ranged within the category are compliant with Australian consumer law

**Requirements:**

* Proven experience as a Category Manager in a large retail organization or FMCG environment
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer-focused category plans aligned with the divisional strategy and supported by sound commercial insights and data
* Strong negotiation and influence skills with cross-functional and external stakeholders at all levels of the business
* Ability to become an industry expert in the field of responsibility within Australia
