We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will assist individuals with disabilities and their families/carers to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning. You will evaluate, develop, and deliver support plans within a complex support space.

You will work collaboratively with participants and their support networks to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework. Your focus will be on eliminating restrictive practices in home and community settings.

Individualised plans will reflect participants' goals, passions, and strengths. Your role will involve building knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support participants – family, carers, friends, etc. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mentoring less experienced practitioners.

Requirements

  • Suitability at the Proficient level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (confirmed by relevant certification)
  • Completed degree-level qualification as an allied health professional
  • Experience with NDIS report writing
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage varied caseloads
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and opportunities to test and learn from new ideas
  • Passion for working in the disability sector
