Senior Technical Specialist - Hygiene & Equipment Design

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Specialist to join our team, responsible for delivering our overall Quality Strategy and mentoring team members in the delivery of quality and food safety workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the team in executing quality and food safety workstreams, ensuring the safety and legality of Goods Not for Resale products.
  • Liaise with commercial, Group Procurement, and Leadership teams to provide quality and technical guidance.
  • Review and approve equipment and goods not for resale, ensuring they meet our quality standards.
  • Provide expert advice on equipment design to prevent cross-contamination and ensure the safety of fresh food products.
  • Manage incidents, including withdrawals and recalls, and implement effective prioritization through trend identification and data analysis.
  • Develop an annual category supplier engagement strategy, supported by data.
  • Contribute to the improvement of our New Product Development (NPD) framework.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise in food hygiene, food safety, and hazard identification and mitigation.
  • Understanding of how equipment design can influence hygiene and reduce the likelihood of cross-contamination.
  • Proven knowledge of Quality Specialist/Technical Specialist roles or similar roles in the industry.
  • Ability to engage, influence, and manage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience managing risk-based quality systems.
